The Great American Outdoors Show

Here's what to know about the show:

  • It gets crowded, more attendees than SHOT and the NRA annual meeting together
  • The farm show complex is more than 11 acres under roof, it's big and there's a lot to see
  • There are things for sale at the show, but, no gun sales
  • You can exit and re-enter the show if you buy something big
  • You can open or concealed carry in the show
  • You can bring in outside food and drink
  • Beer is served at the show
  • There is no metal detectors, pat downs, or bag checks
  • Parking is $10 and includes a shuttle bus ride from the lot to the show door
  • If you went earlier in the week, you can use your ticket to get in again on the 14th.  Two days for the price of one
  • If you join or renew  your NRA membership you get in for free
  • It gets hot inside, leave your jacket in the car
  • There are lots of free trinket  items being given away
  • The Milo shooting simulator is really cool
  • Flannel and Camo are popular, so dress accordingly.  If you go in a group, wear hunter's orange so you all stand out and find each other.
  • Don't miss this show, it's totally awesome and in many ways it's better than the NRAAM
